Butters is a privately held, real estate firm, engaged in the construction, development, investment, property management and leasing of industrial, office, and retail properties. The Butters organization has consistently ranked among the most active commercial contractors, developers, and real estate brokerage companies, in South Florida, over the past decade. The Butters family has been headquartered in South Florida for the past 20 years. In 2002, the firm won the “Diamond Award” from the South Florida Business Journal and in 1999, 2003 and 2006, Butters won “Developer of the Year” Award from the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties, South Florida Chapter.

Butters’ current portfolio of owned and managed properties total approximately 3 million square feet, which is comprised of office, industrial, and retail facilities. Properties owned range from Atlanta, to Miami, Florida. All construction is performed in house with Butters superintendents and project managers. Technology is an important aspect to the Butters Group. Butters uses the most current version of Yardi Software and M.R.I. for property management and Timberline Software for construction management.

The Principals:
Malcolm Butters (50) - Malcolm has been active in South Florida Real Estate for over 25 years. He has a Masters Degree in Real Estate from Florida International University, and has previously worked in the real estate investment division of Travelers Insurance.

Mark Butters (47) - Mark heads up the construction division of the firm. He has a Degree in Construction Management from Florida International University, State of Florida General Contracting & Building Contracting Licenses.
